Sam Carroll earned her Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from George Mason University, with a concentration in Health IT. She graduated summa cum laude and has hopes to continue into higher levels of education in the near future.
Professional Background and Expertise
Her first experience in Health Technology was during a college internship where she worked in the Health IT department at a leading Continuing Care Retirement Community in Virginia Beach. There, she honed her skills and realized her passion for helping others in need using the skills and knowledge that she was learning in school. After graduating with her Bachelor’s, she went on to work as a Systems Analyst for Children’s National Hospital, where she worked in a large team of problems solvers assisting clinicians with any and all health record needs. Excited to expand her career and gain more knowledge, Sam came to Bloom Health Centers to work for us and help manage our Electronic Health Records.

In her free time, Sam loves any and all crafts and believes that she is an old lady at heart. She also enjoys playing tennis, kayaking, and walking through the city.Her goal with Bloom is to help support the business in any way needed. Much of this is done through working directly with the providers to troubleshoot, train, and optimize the health records system so that they are able to turn around and provide the best care possible to our patients.

Bloom Health Centers was an exciting fit for Sam, as she has always been drawn to the health industry and loves helping others. Growing up she was a big supporter of many health charities and has always been passionate about the field. Mental Health is an incredibly important and rapidly expanding field, and she is excited to be able to use her educational and professional background to help support its continuous growth.
