Professional Background and Expertise

Amulya has experience working with diverse populations, including university students, adults, older adults, and couples. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, postpartum depression, women’s mental health, relationship concerns, and life transitions. She takes an integrative, trauma-informed approach, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while incorporating Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing. She is passionate about helping clients explore how early experiences, attachment patterns, and core beliefs influence their relationships, emotional well-being, and sense of self.

Her areas of focus also include PTSD, complex trauma (C-PTSD), emotional regulation, grief, burnout, perfectionism, self-worth, cultural adjustment, LGBTQ+ concerns, and family or relationship challenges. She strives to create a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported and empowered in their growth. She believes healing begins when people feel heard and views therapy as a collaborative journey toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and well-being.

"People start to heal the moment they feel heard." — Cheryl Richardson
