Megan Mahar, LMSW
Megan Mahar earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore in May 2026 and obtained her Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential. Prior to graduate school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2024. She began her undergraduate studies at Salisbury University, where she studied Social Work from August 2020 to May 2022 before transferring to the University of Maryland, College Park.
Professional Background and Expertise
During her graduate studies, Megan completed a therapist internship at Bloom Health Centers from September 2025 through April 2026. In this role, she provided therapeutic services under supervision to adolescents and adults ranging in age from 11 to 36 who presented with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and OCD. She collaborated with clients and their families to support treatment goals, assisted with treatment planning and documentation, and gained experience implementing evidence-based interventions while working as part of a multidisciplinary team. This experience strengthened her clinical skills and reinforced her commitment to supporting the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and adults.
