Devora Rivera M.Ed., LPC-R, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020 and later completed her master’s degree in education and clinical mental health counseling at Boston University in 2025. She is currently on the LPC licensure track. Before and during graduate training, she worked in education and youth development, including as a Teach For America educator, supporting children and adolescents across academic, social, and emotional settings. She also gained clinical experience at Vinfen working with adults living with severe and persistent mental illness and at Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program supporting adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and emotional dysregulation. Her approach is relational, trauma-informed, and person-centered.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys staying active through exercise, including strength training, running, and trying different HIIT-style workouts. She also enjoys traveling and exploring both locally and internationally, as she values learning about new places, cultures, and experiences. In her free time, she values spending quality time with family and friends and believes maintaining balance, connection, and self-care are important parts of overall well-being.
