Marsha Murphy earned her undergraduate degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Economics from Baylor University. She worked for the federal government for a decade before taking time to raise her children. Marsha later returned to school and earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in May 2026. During her practicum experiences, she worked in the counseling office of a K–8 school and served as an intern therapist at Bloom Health Centers.
