Jena Bath, PMHNP-BC, began her professional journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice (2001–2008) and a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology (2008–2010), which led her to work for the Virginia Department of Corrections as a Psychology Associate, conducting mental health and risk assessments on adult male offenders. This experience strengthened her skills in clinical assessment, risk evaluation, and working with challenging populations, while also inspiring her interest in direct patient care in psychiatry. She later transitioned into nursing, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (2019–2021, cum laude), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2022–2023, summa cum laude), and most recently a Master of Science in Nursing (2023–2025) with a 3.84 GPA. Her clinical experience includes inpatient acute psychiatric assessment and crisis intervention with adults—including individuals experiencing homelessness—as well as patients across the lifespan.
