Professional Background and Expertise

I earned a Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in June 2022 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Pace University through the Pforzheimer Honors College in May 2018. During my undergraduate studies, I received the Bundy Award and the Pforzheimer Honors College Scholarship in recognition of my academic achievement and leadership.

Professionally, I have built extensive experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families across residential, school-based, and community mental health settings. I currently serve as a Mental Health Therapist at Embark Behavioral Health, where I manage a caseload of adolescents ages 12–17 and provide individual, group, and family therapy. In this role, I develop treatment goals, complete clinical documentation, coordinate discharge and aftercare planning, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support successful client outcomes and community reintegration.

Prior to this position, I worked as a Family Therapist with the Brief Strategic Family Treatment Program at Graham Windham, where I facilitated weekly family therapy sessions, conducted ongoing safety and risk assessments, and helped families strengthen communication and functioning through a strength-based therapeutic approach. I also supported families in navigating social service systems and accessing community resources and benefits.

From 2022 to 2024, I worked as an MSW Social Worker at Jewish Child Care Association, providing clinical therapy to youth ages 8–18 with mental health diagnoses. My responsibilities included trauma-informed assessments, psychosocial evaluations, crisis intervention, permanency planning, court reporting, and collaboration with schools, hospitals, mental health clinics, and child welfare agencies to ensure comprehensive care for children and families.

Earlier in my career, I served as a RHYS Specialist at The Children’s Village, where I supported adolescents in residential care by facilitating therapeutic groups, modeling positive behaviors, and assisting with daily living and case management responsibilities. I also worked as a School Social Worker at School of Inquiry and Social Justice (MS337), providing counseling services, conducting psychosocial assessments, supporting students’ social-emotional development, and collaborating with families to connect them with appropriate educational and mental health resources.
