Brianna Babb earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Services, along with a Certificate in Addiction Treatment and Prevention, from Old Dominion University in 2021. She later earned a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of William & Mary in 2025, specializing in Military and Veterans Counseling. In April 2025, Brianna successfully passed the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) and is currently a Resident in Counseling (RIC) in Virginia, working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Professional Background and Expertise

During Brianna’s graduate training, she completed a year-long internship at the Center for Child and Family Services in Newport News, Virginia, providing individual and group counseling to military-connected and civilian clients. Her trauma-informed approach includes working with children, adolescents, and adults through individual therapy, crisis assessment, safety planning, and psychoeducation. She is a graduate affiliate of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and has been affiliated with the Virginia Counselors Association (VCA) since 2024. Beyond her clinical work, she serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and volunteers as a bereavement group facilitator with KIDZ ’N GRIEF through Bon Secours. Her research on childhood neglect and background in hospitality continue to inform her compassionate, client-centered approach to counseling.

In her free time, Brianna enjoys listening to music, spending time with animals, and being near the beach or any body of water, where she finds relaxation and renewal. She also values quiet time to recharge through painting and other creative pursuits. When she wants to unwind, she enjoys watching thought-provoking shows that inspire curiosity and reflection.
