Dr. Jackson specializes in Adult Psychiatry and has a keen interest in treating adolescents with mental health issues. He is particularly interested in the assessment and medication management of mood disorders (for example, depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety, psychotic disorders, and ADHD.
Dr. Jackson's whys' behind being a psychiatrist include his ambition to help patients achieve optimal mental health without judgment or inequity as well as the vigor he obtains when both studying and applying the many facets of psychiatry.
Education & Experience
Dr. Jackson graduated with honors from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2006 and earned his M.D. from Howard University College of Medicine in 2015. He completed psychiatry residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY in 2021 and afterwards moved to the DMV area to practice psychiatry full-time. He became a board-certified psychiatrist in September 2021.
