Bloom Health Centers (Bloom), the Mid-Atlantic’s largest in-network, outpatient, multidisciplinary mental health treatment practice, today announced the opening of a new location in Leesburg, Virginia under the leadership of Psychiatrist Michael Chon, MD. The office is located at 1602 Village Market Blvd SE, Suite 250 and is one of nine locations serving patients in the greater Baltimore and Washington, DC metropolitan areas. Bloom currently accommodates 200,000 patient visits annually.
“Dr. Chon is an exceptionally likeable person and has a wonderful background academically,” said President of Bloom Health Centers, Lorraine Riche. “The Leesburg community will benefit from his passion to provide excellent mental health services.”
Dr. Chon joins Bloom from the University of Virginia’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program. He earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida. He also completed a General Psychiatry residency training at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami.
Dr. Chon especially loves to work with child and adolescent patients. He wishes to dedicate his lifelong career to helping kids cultivate healthy minds with special interests including ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, and Mood Disorders.
