Lorraine Riche

President

Lorraine has spent her entire career in the health and human services sector, first as a clinician and then as an operator and executive. She’s passionate about changing the way mental healthcare is delivered to make more services more accessible to more people.

She’s happiest when she enables people to live their most meaningful lives, and when individuals get to define what is meaningful. Her joy in work comes from being a part of a team. At Bloom Health Centers, Lorraine has found a place where she not only has the ability to impact the community, but also gets to work with a talented and committed group of professionals.

James Shigeno

Chief Operating Officer

James believes that one of the most fulfilling places to be is at the intersection of healthcare and technology. He’s passionate about identifying and filling the unmet needs of the communities we serve.

Using his diverse experiences and skillset from R&D, product management, and sales across multiple industries, James is driven to create a sustainable platform for growth in a healthcare specialty where people need better access to care.

James’ role is to establish structure and processes within our outstanding team, and for him, it’s a deeply satisfying endeavor. This structure enables us to execute Bloom Health Center’s purpose of creating a world where no one feels alone.

Dr. Neel Nene

Chief Medical Officer

Neel completed his training at Maimonides Medical Center as well as extensive addiction training at Bellevue Hospital. He finished a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship program at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center at Penn State University, where he served as Chief Fellow.

He also successfully completed the Healthcare MBA program at The George Washington University with a focus on Marketing and Hospital Management. He completed an Electroconvulsive Therapy Fellowship at Columbia University as well as TMS training at the Maastricht Brain Imaging Center.

His clinical interests include inpatient psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, and neuromodulation.

Pradeep Kumar

Chief Technology Officer

Pradeep is a seasoned technology expert. Having led teams to develop solutions for federal and commercial healthcare systems, he has created a new perspective on applying technology to mental healthcare.

He’s dedicated to bridging the gap between patients and providers by increasing provider availability and improving post-visit outcome measures. To do this, he — along with Dr. Krishna — built Bloominind, a practice management system.

Pradeep believes that harnessing the power of technology to automate workflows frees humans to do what interests and motivates them, improving their quality of work, quality of life, and patient health.

Peter van Riper

Chief Financial Officer

Peter has spent the last two decades on the business side of healthcare as an operator and executive. Drawing on his experience, he is grateful for the opportunity to help the Bloom Health Centers team revolutionize how mental healthcare is delivered to reach more people and provide more effective care.

Peter lights up when he can work with a team to create something new and impactful. He most enjoys gleaning insights from the data and information available, working with his colleagues to innovate systems and improve the lives of others. At Bloom Health Centers, Peter has found a talented and driven team, together seeking to reinvent the delivery of mental healthcare.
