Nkechi Achinanya PMHNP
Bloom Health Centers is excited to welcome Nkechi Achinanya, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, to the Catonsville location and support the local primary care partners. Nkechi is a compassionate and experienced psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with proven success in multiple areas of healthcare. She is dedicated to improving her patients’ well-being through compassionate and empathetic treatment across the lifespan. Nkechi obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2018. Following that, she received her Master of Science Degree in Nursing at Walden University with a specialization to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2022. Nkechi’s experience prior to coming to Bloom Health Centers includes working at Spring Leaf Mental Health Agency as a student and with the Trauma Specialists of Maryland and Discovery MD as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Nkechi is passionate about helping individuals with various mental health disorders across life span including Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, anger management, oppositional defiant disorder, sleep disorders, OCD, and postpartum depression. Nkechi has experience serving patients of all ages and is excited to continue to expand her expertise with adult and geriatric patients.
