Beverley A. Howard, LMSW

Bloom Health Centers is excited to welcome Beverley Howard to the team to expand our access to comprehensive care within the Virginia region. Beverley holds an active LMSW - Licensed Master of Social Work and have presently completed over 3,000 hours of clinical supervision needed to be approved to take her examination and earn her LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  Beverley is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) who is passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges. Beverley earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020 and her Master of Social Work from George Mason University in 2022. 

 

Since 2023, Ms. Howard worked at Dominion Hospital as a Clinical Therapist, first supporting adolescents in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) client ages ranging from 12-17 as well as working as a clinical therapist on the adult PHP unit with individuals ranging from ages 18 -70. She has experience facilitating group therapy, conducting family therapy, and providing individual therapy and case management. Her approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative—rooted in the belief that healing happens best when clients feel truly seen and supported. 

 

Beverley holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, and Preceptor Training, and she is currently working toward independent LCSW licensure. Beverley shares, “What I love most about this work is helping people recognize their own resilience and supporting them in building meaningful change in their lives.” 

Beverley works mainly with adolescent and adult populations utilizing trauma-informed care, systems theory approach, CBT & DBT therapy. 

Beverley has two dogs - a sweet little girl, Piper-Joy, who is 7, and a handsome boy, Lars, who is almost 1. In her free moments, she enjoys taking them for walks, playing fetch, and just hanging out with them on the couch. Beverley is also passionate about manga/manhwa and enjoys spending her free time diving into a good story. She also really enjoys and appreciates anime. Lastly, Beverley loves to cook and enjoy the challenge of trying new recipes!
