Dr. Azim is the Medical Director of Ancillary Services at Bloom Health Centers. His clinical interests and expertise include treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, psychopharmacology, geriatric psychiatry, substance use disorders (alcohol, nicotine, cannabis), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Esketamine (Spravato). He also provides pharmacogenetic testing for his patients to aid in treatment planning.

Dr. Azim also provides pharmacogenetic testing for his patients to aid in treatment planning. In addition to English, Dr. Azim also speaks proficient Dari.  

Education & Experience

Dr. Azim completed medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, VA. He completed his residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. He began his education by earning his undergraduate degree from George Mason University.

He is board-certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with active medical licenses in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C.
