About

Sydnie has hands-on experience working with the under-served populations. She believes that everyone deserves access to great healthcare and strives to provide the best therapeutic services possible. Sydnie focuses on helping the client develop a clear understanding and perspective on the mental and/or behavioral habits (conscious or unconscious) they've formed and how these habits impact them positively or negatively. Sydnie tries to create a supportive environment for people to feel safe and secure while trying to overcome the hardships and obstacles that life may bring.

Sydnie always has a team-based approach during her sessions because she believes that the client never goes through their therapeutic journey alone. This goes with treatment planning when approaching trauma, and all services provided. She believes it's a journey taken together: client and therapist.

Education & Experience

Sydnie earned a Master of Social Work degree in 2019 from Salisbury University. Prior to her graduate work, she received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Salisbury.

After Sydnie graduated from Salisbury University with her Bachelor's in Psychology in 2016, she went to two international conferences (Canada and Austria) with her mentor to speak on the topic of Neurodevelopmental Disorders Associated with Prenatal Alcohol Exposure (ND-PAE) and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). Working with this population and under her mentor incited a passion for mental health treatment which led her to start graduate school and later become a licensed Social Worker and Therapist.
