About

Letha has a very diverse background in laboratory medicine, nursing, and physician assistant studies. Her passion for psychiatry has flourished at Bloom and she enjoys working with people of all ages with a variety of disorders.

Given the increased need for behavioral health services outside of the hospital setting, she feels that her contribution to the community is to provide outstanding care as well as to facilitate access to quality behavioral health services for the community.

Education & Experience

Letha received her MS in Physician Assistant Studies from Towson University, BSN from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, and a BS in Biology from the University of South Florida. She also completed the Clinical Laboratory Sciences program at the George Washington University School of Medicine. After working in a hospital clinical laboratory for almost 15 years, Letha went back to school to pursue her desire to work directly with patients first as a nurse, then as a PA. Working as a physician assistant, Letha is able to combine her past experiences in laboratory sciences, nursing, and internal medicine to provide comprehensive mental health care for her patients.

In 1996, Letha earned an Outstanding Health Sciences Certificate Student award from the George Washington University School of Medicine Clinical Lab Science program. In 2015, she graduated magna cum laude from the BSN program at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. In 2015, Letha was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for nursing students. In 2019, she received the Outstanding Student Award for the highest GPA in the Towson University PA program.
