Jan currently offers mental health counseling through telehealth. She works with adults through the lifespan who are challenged with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, grief, trauma, and family and relationship issues, as well as those needing support in their recovery from addiction. She uses cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic treatment methods along with other modalities according to the needs of each client.
Jan feels privileged to offer supervision to recent graduate MSWs. She also enjoys her role as a field instructor with interns in the advanced standing in the second year of their Master's program.
Education & Experience
Jan received her BA, Summa Cum Laude, in Psychology from UMBC in 1982. In 1984, she was awarded her MSW in Clinical Social Work, also with a GPA of 4.0, from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1984.
