Dr. Leitner’s practice focuses on providing compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based mental healthcare for children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical interests include neurodevelopmental disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and collaborations between primary and mental healthcare.

Dr. Leitner is passionate about improving mental health treatment access for individuals in Sussex County.

Education & Experience

Dr. Leitner completed undergraduate studies at Duke University where she graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors. She attended medical school at the University of Michigan followed by psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Virginia, where she served as chief fellow.

Dr. Leitner serves as the psychiatrist for the Stockley Center and also provides services to the Delaware Child Psychiatry Access Project (DCPAP). She has written questions and sat on the editorial board for national psychiatry residency and child fellow examinations. She is also a preceptor for Wilmington University’s graduate nursing education program.
