Having worked in the field of mental health for over 15 years, Brittany is passionate about utilizing a holistic approach to helping her patients achieve optimal wellness, and is dedicated to tailoring treatment to meet each patient’s unique and specific needs.

Brittany is known for her positive, compassionate, and comforting disposition. She seeks to create a safe space for her patients to be themselves without judgment, and she works collaboratively with others involved in her patients’ care as needed. Brittany’s job as a Psychiatric PA-C primarily includes conducting initial psychiatric assessments, evaluating patients to determine diagnoses, interpreting diagnostic findings, and formulating treatment plans including prescribing medications and medication management. With experience utilizing various therapy modalities – including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Humanistic Therapy – she also incorporates active and reflective listening as well as brief therapy in her medication management sessions.She is a devoted mom of two French bulldogs and a proud aunt of her niece and nephew. In her free time, she enjoys creating art, biking, traveling, photography, helping others, and spending time with her loved ones.

Education & Experience

After completing her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and biology at Dickinson College, Brittany spent over eight years assisting with psychiatric research studies, administering psychological testing, and counseling patients at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and the National Institute on Drug Abuse. During that time, Brittany also received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Towson University.

With a desire to expand her scope of practice within psychiatry, Brittany returned to school to become a Physician Assistant and graduated from Duke University with a Master of Health Sciences and Physician Assistant degree in 2016.
